Hello everyone! And a special hello to all the Speech and Hearing majors out there! I am proud to say I that I too am a future Speech Pathologist hoping to have a great senior year and graduate in the spring. I am a native Arizonan and grew up in a large family with 4 other sisters and a brother. With me being the second oldest, the six of us range in age from 23 down to 13. It is definitely a unique experience both growing up with some siblings, and then also being able to help raise the younger ones. I love being able to go back home, where I can catch up on the day-to-day drama of my middle school sister, help the high school one with her impossible math homework, and also count on a free home cooked meal.
Besides spending quality time with the family, I love hanging out with friends, watching movies, listening to music, and also have a passion for running. I don't run for the time or the competition, but rather as my method of escape when life gets stressful. When it's just me and the road, and I'm running to the beat of my favorite song, it sends me to an alternate universe where I suddenly know the answer to all of the problems of the world :)
Well, that's a little about me, and if you're interested stay tuned for more... I hope everyone is having a great first week of school and staying cool, despite the never-ending Arizona heat!~
Another Speech Pathology major! That's awesome. I really haven't heard much about this major until I started reading everyone's blogs.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're liking ASU better than NAU.. :). I think the cold would eventually get to me up there!
Hi Erin!
ReplyDeleteI hope the first week has gone well for you. It's great to read your blog and find out more about you. I'm jealous that you're a sibling in a large family! I always imagined that would be a lot of fun. You were persuasive in your description about running, too... suddenly, I feel like heading out for a jog. ;-) Great to meet you!

Hi Erin,
ReplyDeleteIt's great to meet you! There are a lot of speech pathology major's in this class. What do you plan on doing with your degree? I love flagstaff, all of my dad side of the family is from there, including my grandma. Going to flagstaff is a great place to get a way and be relaxed, but I agree with you about the cold, sometimes it’s just not fun! I love ASU as well, go sun devils! Glad to see you at ASU now! Hope you have a great semester.
